I spent a lovely evening wandering around Claremont with the Franklin family. Karina and I were talking about how they’re in that “sweet spot” of parenting with their 13, 10 and 5 year old boys. You know the place – where you don’t have any diapers to change, all parties feed themselves and you’re not constantly watching for choking hazards. And it’s true. These are precious days where fun personalities blossom, where character is formed, and where as parents, we have more influence than at any other point in our kid’s lives. I’m thankful for friends who not only clearly adore their kids, but who parent intentionally and work hard to keep loving one another in the midst of these full years.
