November was a crazy month for our family. My amazing grandfather passed away, the stomach bug hit our house, we traveled out of town for Thanksgiving, and I had my busiest November in five years of business. It was a doozie, and this sweet family’s session was affected not once, but twice by all the rescheduling. But God was gracious, because it couldn’t have been a kinder, sweeter woman than Kandy that I was calling to reschedule because their session conflicted with my grandfather’s funeral or texting at 6am that I couldn’t make our session because I was vomiting. She took it all in stride – even with a smile on – and made me feel so much better when our session finally did take place. I already knew I liked them because it was David who called to schedule a family session for Kandy’s birthday. When the husband’s on board, you know you’re golden. Then I read their portrait agreement, and knew they were special. When you have a family who writes that they want their kids to remember parents “who loved and served Jesus” and who have made new friends while serving at a trailer park in Stafford the past year – well that’s not your average family.
Kandy and David, I hope these capture Ethan, Will and Callen and your family just as it is right now. Your boys were too fun, and it really was a privilege to meet you guys!!
