Eli and Jack | brothers | sienna plantation child photographer

I’ve been completely remiss in sharing more of our adoption journey on this blog.  Here’s the cliff’s notes version: In March of 2011 we decided to adopt. From Uganda. It stretched our faith, brought us to our knees, and daily reminded us that love does. In March of 2012 we received our referral for a beautiful 2.5 year old boy, and June 30th, we left for Uganda to bring him home.  I fell in love with my son’s birth country while spending five weeks there.  Then, on August 3rd, we came home as a family of 5!!

Today we celebrated Eli’s third birthday.  I hope you can get a glimpse into what an AMAZING little boy he is through a few photos.  We feel blessed beyond measure that God’s allowing us to parent him, and we are so thankful that we said yes to this incredible journey.

Spontaneously, I took my two boys out for a little photo session.  (I didn’t go buy any new clothes =))  It was just a session to capture my son, Jack at 5, and my newest son, Eli at 3.  They have an awesome friendship that I love watching grow every day.  And for those of you feeling sorry for miss Kate – she got her very own session when she turned 6 in April.  But yes, a session with all three kiddos is up next!!

P.S.  These are my favorite ages.  I want time to stand still for just a little while longer.

P.P.S I know this is a lot of photos. It’s my blog. They’re my kids. And gosh, aren’t they adorable?!?

Loved every picture! Double pleasure, those two boys! Some of Jack’s expressions match ones I’ve seen on Andy many times at staff meeting. I had to laugh.

Laura, Eli is adorable! I can see why you fell in love with him. And, Jack looks so huge next to him! I’m so glad they’re developing a good relationship, and that Eli is having the priviledge to be raised in our great country by such fine Christian people. His little life will never be the same as it was before. God has blessed both him and all of you beyond measure! May He continue to do so! Happy Birthday, Eli!

I LOVE all of these! I see some good clipboard fillers to complete the bedroom.
